If you are looking for an alternative & less traditional celebration this July 4th, we are hosting a Peaceful Pets Evening to help our shelter animals stay calm and anxiety free during the fireworks.
Fireworks can cause dogs and cats everywhere tremendous stress, and in an effort to reduce their anxiety in our shelter, we are inviting animal lovers to sign up to spend time with our animals during our “Peaceful Pets” event from 7-9pm.
Participants can sit outside of our kennels and read out loud, play music, or share some great conversation with the animals to keep them calm. Additionally, we kindly ask visitors to bring donations for the shelter, such as dry and wet canned food for our Community Pet Pantry, treats, toys, and other essentials.
