**Compassionate Care Clinics are now fully booked through December 2023**
In order to serve our community and increase pet retention, the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA offers Compassionate Care Clinics on select weekdays every month. These clinics provide wellness exams, education, vaccinations and routine wellness care at a reduced cost for pet parents currently receiving public assistance. Clients must show proof of public assistance to qualify for care.*
Priority is given to residents of Charlottesville or Albemarle County.

Kennel Cough Vaccine
Flea & Tick Preventative Application
Ear Mite Treatment
Procedure for Clients:
Drive to the right of the shelter and follow signs for clinic parking.
Please remain in your vehicle. A clinic assistant will come to your car to check you in.
After checking in, you will wait in your vehicle and your pet(s) will be brought into the clinic by a clinic assistant.
Physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment will take place in the clinic while you wait outside.
A staff member will then talk with you carside to discuss findings, answer questions, and receive the estimate.
Cash, check and credit card are accepted payment methods. We are unable to accept Care Credit at this time.
After you have paid, you will be given medical records and medications in a bag prepared by the evaluation and treatment team.
***All cats, kittens and puppies must be brought in an enclosed pet carrier***
