Are you ready to make your workday a little brighter while giving a shelter dog a much-needed break? If you don’t have a dog of your own, this is your chance to bring a furry friend to the office on Friday, June 21st for Bring Your Dog to Work Day! The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA is offering a limited number of participants the opportunity to host a shelter dog for the day.
How It Works:
• Interested parties will fill out the interest form below. The submission of this form does not guarantee you a Fido Field Trip on June 21st. Participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis based on pet availability.
• CASPCA will contact interested parties by 5PM on Wednesday, June 19th to let you know if we were able to accommodate your request. If you aren’t selected this time, we invite you to sign-up for another Fido Field Trip to bring a shelter dog to work another day this summer.
• If approved, CASPCA will send one dog per party/organization, and our staff will pair you with a dog that best fits your group and itinerary. We provide all necessary supplies to care for the dog throughout the day. Please plan to arrive to pick-up the dog at or after 9AM on Friday, June 21st. The dog must be returned by 5:30PM.
• To get your company excited for the big day, we encourage participants to hold a donation drive for the homeless animals at the shelter. You can visit our wishlist at https://caspca.org/give/wish-list/. These donations help brighten the days of shelter pets and support pet-owners in need within the community.
Not only will these trips provide you and your company with a fun and meaningful day with a shelter dog, but you’ll also be giving our animals a break from the stress of the shelter. We encourage participants to share photos and notes from your day, as they can significantly boost their chances at finding loving homes.
Before filling out the interest form, please ensure that your company allows pets in the workplace and has approved your participation in Bring Your Dog to Work Day on June 21st. This will help us ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone interested. We can’t wait to send our pups to work with you!
