Walking in a Whisker Wonderland…

The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA invites the public to experience Whisker Wonderland inside Charlottesville’s Fashion Square on Saturday, December 13th from 10AM to 5PM. Adoptable cats and kittens donning holiday garb will deck the halls of the mall for this holiday adopt-a-thon. There will be more than thirty-five cats and kittens to meet and mingle in one of our festive kitty visiting tents. In order to spread a little extra holiday cheer, the SPCA is discounting adoption fees to just $5 for all adult cats and $35 for kittens. By adopting this holiday season, not only will you make kitty’s Christmas wish of a new home come true, but you’ll take home a cat or kitten that has received services normally costing hundreds of dollars like spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, FIV/Felv testing, plus you will receive a free medical exam from participating vets, a microchip with lifetime registration, a free animal behavior CD and a lifetime of priceless companionship and cuddles.

If you are not in the market to adopt, please consider stopping by to make a donation. The SPCA also has a fun, short-term way to help homeless pets this holiday season: participation in the SPCA’s Foster for the Holidays program. Residents can foster a pet for a couple of weeks or just a few days during the holiday season, and many foster families even help by marketing their foster pet to help them find a new home.
