These free services include:

- FVRCP & Rabies vaccines, (kittens must be at least 3 months old to receive Rabies vaccinations.)

We offer other medical treatments for a small fee. If your community cat is in need of additional services, please inquire at the front desk when you drop the cat off for surgery. For cats living outside of our jurisdiction, please call the spay/neuter line for special pricing (434) 964-3333 or apply online.
We have humane capture traps available for rental. Fees are $5.00 a week plus a $50.00 deposit. The deposit will be refunded to you once the cat is fixed, released and the trap is returned to us. We also offer easy-to-follow instructions on how to successfully trap community cats for surgery.
Community Cats can be dropped off for surgery at the SPCA Monday-Friday from 8:15am-12:00pm. No appointment is needed if you’re bringing fewer than 5 trapped cats in on any given day. For large colonies of cats, call the Community Cat Manager at (434) 964-3322 to make reservations. Staff will notify you at drop off of when you should come back for pick up. Please withhold cats’ food the night and morning before surgery.
