To further assist in the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, the CASPCA has partnered with Best Friends Animal Society to transfer 30 dogs from Best Friends base shelter located at the NRG Arena in the heart of Houston. The 30 incoming dogs have been among the hardest for Best Friends to find placement for due to their health issues, which will need ongoing treatment.
To make space for the incoming dogs arriving from Houston, the CASPCA is having a Clear the Kennels adoption event tomorrow, Saturday, October 28th through Tuesday, October 31st. All dog and puppy adoption fees are waived! We are asking adopters to consider making a monetary donation to aid in the care of the incoming animals from Houston.

The 2017 Critter Ball took place on September 21st at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards and was a great success. Guests mingled with adoptable dogs during cocktail hour against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Party guests also enjoyed a wonderful dinner, live auction and entertainment by Kustom Made.
Thanks to our generous supporters and donors, including our top level sponsors: BMW of Charlottesville, Becky and Jim Craig, Red Light Management, Virginia National Bank and Anonymous. To view photos from the event captured by Aaron Watson Photography, click here.
Dogtoberfest at ACAC has reached capacity and they will not be accepting walk-ups tomorrow. Thanks to everyone that has RSVP’d. All proceeds will benefit the animals in need at the CASPCA!
