Professional Dancers

A huge thank you to our professional dancers who dedicate their time and talent to making Charlottesville’s Celebrity Dance Contest a success.

Robin Grimsby
Spin City Dance

Robin Grimsby has dabbled with dance since her youth. However it wasn’t until she was nearly 30 when she ventured out to a local country bar where they danced country two-step, swing, cha-cha and line dances that she really got serious about partner dance. She got hooked and quickly picked up the dances. Soon she was discovered by dance coaches and started training with them. Within two years of starting to dance, she started entering dance competitions and winning gold medals in her divisions. Robin is now ranked in a very competitive division called “All-Stars” in which she dances with and against other pros and semi-pros. It remains important to Robin to continue competing: it challenges her to work on her dancing at all times and to serve as a positive example to her students of what hard work and dedication can achieve! She has coached and choreographed award-winning dance routines, including last year’s “Rawhide” routine with Critter Ball winner Corbin Snow. This year she is defending her Critter Ball title and performing in memory of her late and cherished CASPCA kitty, Gabe.
